The research and study is also a very important part of this master's program. I have strong knowledge of the theories and researchI've taken the foundation course of IST to study the basic knowledge of learning and instructional theory and Human performance technology. Nevertheless, I also expanded my view in the field of Instructional Design and Technology, and the ability of critical reading and thinking as well as academic writing via learning in IST reading course, which requires much reading about classic and latest theoratical or pratical research and study.

 

       In addition to this, I also joined in a seminar course about emerging learning technologies. I conducted a mini-study to explore students' reception of self-directed learning-styled online course. I interviewed several participants of the course and sent survey form to many others to know the general thought of the course and then I composed the data collected, analyzed them and wrote a report on the topic. I also created a web app as a capstone project.

 

     My basic knowledge in educational inquiry, the art of knowing knowledge and its resource has been widely enriched through the learning in a educational inquiry foundation course.
